Welcome to Riggs Financial Inc.
About Us
Tim Riggs is a Registered Employee Benefit Consultant and an Investment Advisor Representative of Cambridge Investment Research.
When we began our business in 1989, we had a natural affinity for the driven business owner. We were often amazed at the drive and commitment these entrepreneurs have displayed on a daily basis. It was these individuals who needed a trusted professional in deciphering all of the regulations and product information needed to keep their employees on the road to prosperity and longevity. We market and support 401K and profit sharing plans, group health plans and self-funded health plans, life and disability plans.
It is through this inspiration from our clients that we have grown our business to over 50 businesses who depend upon us for their brokerage and financial education of their employees. Many of our clients are still with us after 26 years! We do group and individual enrollment meeting so we can get to know our clients.
Today, we strive to offer every product which can bring value to our client base. Escalating costs associated with employee benefits and retirement plans can be controlled with negotiation with comparative information properly presented. Our mission is to bring value to our clients through cost negotiation, product differentiation, and education. Our employee presentations are designed to promote loyalty by helping them determine their long term financial goals.
We can act in the capacity of a fiduciary on retirement plans. This protects the business owner by supporting their role also as a plan fiduciary. Unbelievably, most business owners are the only fiduciary on their 401k plan. Business owners can seed some of the risk by requiring that their advisors also be a fiduciary.
We support the business owner by using tools such FI 360 and Fiduciary Benchmarks which clearly illustrates the comparative value of the plan. These tools are offered at no additional fees and provide the business owner the satisfaction of having a professional third-party validation.
At Riggs we believe in constant education. Tim Riggs is both a Registered Employee Benefit Consultant and a Registered Health Underwriter designations. Tim Riggs is also an Investment Advisor Representative of Cambridge Investment Advisory.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Arts from University of Louisiana. Riggs began his career as an instructor and coach at Allegheny College. While at Allegheny College he was awarded the NCAA Diving Coach of the Year for three years. It was during this period that Riggs was preparing his business plan for serving the business community with financial products and education.
